Dena completed her Masters of Science degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MSAOM) from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. She is a Diplomat of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She received her massage degree from Brenneke School of Massage and is a certified bodyworker by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Dena is a member of Washington Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Association, American Massage Therapy Association and the Washington Sports Massage Team. Dena is a contributor to The Surfrider Foundation and The Health Professional Series for Seattle Athletic Club. During her time at Bastyr University, Dena worked as a receptionist and completed a preceptorship at Oriental Medical Center. In addition, she participated in acupuncture and oriental medicine interships at Bastyr Center for Natural Health, Harborview Medical Center, Rainier Park Medical Clinic and Shu Guan Hospital in China. Dena enjoys snowboarding, playing soccer, hiking, yoga, swimming and walking her dog. She is a practitioner of sustainable living, attempting to meet her needs without negatively impacting future generations. |
